Leonardo DiCaprio has clarified that he has been “out of touch” with Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs for an extended period after an old image resurfaced showing him at one of Combs’ notorious ‘White Parties.’ The Titanic actor, along with several other high-profile figures—such as Kim Kardashian, Paris Hilton, and Mariah Carey—has distanced himself from the embattled music icon.
DiCaprio, who has left that lifestyle behind, no longer maintains any associations with Combs. Sources have emphasized this point to dismiss any recent insinuations of a connection between the two. Combs, who recently faced a slew of serious charges, including sex trafficking, racketeering, and sexual assault, was arrested on September 16. Though he maintains his innocence, he has been denied bail twice and remains in custody awaiting trial.
The resurfaced photograph, taken at one of Combs’ extravagant White Parties, captures a youthful DiCaprio amidst a star-studded gathering. These lavish affairs, infamous for their exclusive guest lists and strict all-white attire, were frequently held at Combs’ East Hampton estate, attracting the crème de la crème of the entertainment and music industries.
DiCaprio’s Name Once Headlined Combs’ Guest List
Despite once being touted as “number one” on Combs’ invitation list, a source close to the Wolf of Wall Street star has confirmed that DiCaprio has had no contact with Combs in recent years. “Leonardo DiCaprio has absolutely no involvement in this whatsoever,” the insider told Daily Mail. “He attended a few of Diddy’s parties back in the early 2000s—like nearly everyone in Hollywood did.”
While it’s true that DiCaprio was spotted alongside Combs on multiple occasions in the past—including at the 2004 Democratic National Convention and Combs’ 50th birthday celebration in 2019—his representatives have swiftly rejected any insinuations that the two remain close.
“These were large, sprawling events. Leo was at the beginning of his career back then, and he has since distanced himself from that scene. He is entirely removed from that world, so anyone thinking that he might somehow be dragged into this situation due to a few decades-old photos is grasping at straws,” the source added.

In a 2017 video interview with Vogue, titled ‘73 Questions with Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs,’ the music mogul named DiCaprio as his “top guest” for a planned White Party at the time. However, sources are adamant that DiCaprio’s ties to that world are a relic of the past.
“Leo was just starting out back then and has long since moved beyond those days,” the source reiterated. “Now, he’s focused entirely on his career and his personal life. The Diddy case has absolutely nothing to do with him, and he isn’t even thinking about it.”
