In a harrowing incident on Tuesday night, at least seven individuals lost their lives, and eight more sustained injuries in a violent stabbing and shooting spree in Tel Aviv, Israel, as reported by Ichilov Hospital.

Authorities from the Israeli Police Spokesperson’s Unit have indicated that terrorism may have been the underlying motive behind this tragic event. Both alleged assailants have been neutralized, according to police statements.

The assault commenced aboard the city’s light rail transit system, with the perpetrators subsequently continuing their rampage on foot until they were confronted and shot by the Municipal Security Patrol and armed civilians in the vicinity.

A significant police presence has been established in the area, conducting thorough searches to ensure there are no further threats.

This attack unfolded on Yerushalayim Street, just as a substantial missile barrage was launched from Iran towards Israel. The Israel Defense Forces reported that approximately 180 missiles targeted various locations within Israel.

While the majority of these missiles were successfully intercepted, Israeli security officials noted that “several impacts were confirmed, and damage assessments are currently underway.”
